Video: Sony Ericsson Satio unboxed, demonstrated with the utmost care
October 7th is like, what, just under a fortnight away? But we know good and well that's not making it any easier to wait for Sony Ericsson's 12.1 megapixel Satio to launch across the pond. If you're eager to live vicariously through a well-connected individual over on YouTube, you can hop on past the break right now to see the phone unboxed (in all three colors, no less) and detailed to a level that only a true SE fanboy could treasure. And that includes you, over there in the closet...

What OS does these run?
Symbian
They're running on Symbian 5th Edition
Is the Satio really coming? Within this century I mean?
IF it is and IF SE learning a lesson or two (hundred) from the X1 debacle, manages to make something people actually can use and is wiling to buy, I might even consider getting a Satio instead of an HTC Leo to replace my aging HTC TouchHD.
It remains to be seen if SE is serious about fighting for its survival as a smartphone brand by making it innovative enough to catch people attention.
Unfortunately judging fromprevious experience with SE and from a few images o the xperia X2 I find it hard to be optimist about this thing.
Even if it does come. It only has a 900mAH battery that can't get you through half a day. Stay away. The crew over at symbian-guru.com already got their hands on a few of them a couple weeks ago and all the positives of the phone were overshadowed by its god awful battery life. It's inexcusable for a phone to only last for 6hrs on EDGE with only Gravity running in the background. Ugh!
Areamobile has a more exhaustive photo unboxing with 46 pictures:

The video is shot by me, running the official Satio Launch Blog over at http://blogs.sonyericsson.com/satio. You'll find more tutorials, sample pics and other info about the Satio.
Will the Satio come to the United States?
