HTC Leo benchmarked, leaves blisters
The HTC Leo has already got hearts-aflutter the world over with its high-end spec sheet and huge capacitive touchscreen, but now that some early benchmarks have hit we might have a full-on fanboy panic on our hands. That 1GHz Snapdragon processor isn't just for show, people -- you're looking at least a 300 percent improvement over the Touch HD on every single 3D graphics benchmark with an astounding 1,822 percent improvement on one test, and raw CPU performance was nearly three times as fast. Yeah, those are some wild numbers -- we'll have to see what battery life is like when this thing ships, but for now we'd recommend hitting the read link and taking in the full set of benchmarks.

awesome........(changes pants)
Yeah, but is it coming to the US? HIstory would suggest (at least) not for a while.
One HUGE catch.....Windows Mobile.
Sure, but this will probably have 6.5 and will be a PERFECT candidate for WinMo 7. Of course, nobody has even SEEN anything of what WinMo 7 will be yet, but hopefully it will be awesome.
True.. but people tend to like Windows 7 and Zune HD so maybe they'll do something correct with WM 7 and go for a trifecta of promising new platform choices.
there is absolutely nothing wrong with WinMo functionality wise. it works exactly like it's supposed to. i think the main problem people have with it is the interface so if they just update that in WinMo7 then maybe people will stop hating it so much. people always say its so hard to use but honestly if u acn use Windows on a PC then u know how to use WinMo. its the same thing just smaller (which i love personally since i can make it do pretty much whatever i want).
Damn... site is down now.
If only this ran android and was a wee bit smaller....A man can dream, can't he??
WinMo = fail.
But damn the HW looks sharp.
put a nice, thin qwerty slider on this and you have a potential world-beater
i hear ya. this phone with a slide out QWERTY keyboard and on a US carrier and you can name your price cause i'm game.
If iPhone had this screen, it would be awesome. A larger screen would make websurfing on the iPhone even more effective. I hope Apple moves in that direction.
What, you think I'd EVER buy a WinMo phone again? Or an HTC? Went down that path before, and won't repeat. But I'm thankful that, by putting a screen like that in a hand-held phone, HTC will be putting pressure on Apple to follow suit.
