Samsung Behold II marries Android, TouchWiz for T-Mobile
The Behold is all grow'd up with its second rendition, moving up in the world from a mere featurephone to an authentic Android-powered contender. T-Mobile's latest Android set is a full-touch model backed by a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash, and video recording, a 3.2-inch AMOLED display, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, and microSD expansion up to 16GB. Like virtually all Samsung smartphones (and many of its featurephones), the Behold II features an adaptation of the company's TouchWiz UI and has a 3D "cube menu" for rotating among common features like web browsing and YouTube access. Neither pricing nor availability are being announced right now, but we're being promised it'll be around "in time for the holidays."

TouchWiz... heh heh heh.
It is me, or is this really just the Samsung Galaxy i7500 in a different case?? Looks the same, buttons in the same place and sounds the same spec!
I wonder how much internal memory it will have.
Do the buttons have a backlight on this one? FAIL on the Galaxy...
Galaxy or Galaxy lite for T-Mo.?
..looks that way but the US misses out on alot..
T-mobile is really cranking out the Android phones while AT&T hasn't released ANY and there aren't even rumors of it happening. What is the deal with that!?
And T-mobile even has an "Android" filter on their website when you are browsing their phones! They don't have the Behold II listed yet.
How is that cube from touchwiz usefull in any way?
"I want app X, hmmm let me play with the cube until I find it"
It's not. It's just a gimmick. There is absolutely no substitute for assigning an app to a physical button for efficiency. Touch screens require at least one more step.
This may very well be the phone I've been waiting for, so long as I can ditch that stupid cube UI.
dammit, and it just got my myTouch last week :P
any word on specs for this beauty? Probably the same as always, I know, or there'd be something made of it. But it'd still be good to know.
the cube is a gimmick....but TOUCHWIZ running across the bottom of the screen has the single button app assignment your whining about needing lol, if you don't like the cube for opening an app.....try touching the BUTTONS at the bottom of the screen for the one touch convenience.... i like the cubes uniqueness, but i agree its a worthless feature and i'm sure thats why it was coupled w/ the touchwiz. This will probably be my next phone, i just wish it was getting android 2.0..... i'd wait an extra month or two for this device w/ 2.0 os.
