Yesterday we
showed you this bad boy behind a thick, hand-stopping sheet of glass, and today, we're taking you just a little closer to the action. The emphasis has to be on "just a little," unfortunately, because neither T-Mobile nor Samsung were willing to slip a battery in the phone and let us play around with it, a surefire indication that the firmware isn't baked to a golden brown yet -- and when you consider that they're promising the Behold II in time for the holidays, the clock's definitely ticking. Would we pick this over a
myTouch 3G? Probably, yeah -- especially with the better cam -- but let's be real, the
Fender Limited Edition is another story altogether.
Still no word on the processor inside this one?
This phone could possibly replace my G1. Come one T-Mobile/Samsung, give us more info on the Behold II.
This is definitely a step in the right direction. I'm looking to ditch my berry now that contract is up and I'm excited about all the android offerings. But do we really need all these buttons and navigation pads/trackballs? At least try to hide or minimize them. Give us a sexy, thin, clean, black Android brick. And while you're at it, it's been over a year so how about stepping up the processors?
I have a g1, and I think the only way I am going to upgrade is if I get a 4" screen, with snapdragon chipset. The hardware really needs to step it up, because the only thing seperating these things are slick gui's and different plastic.
omg whats up with the back of the phone its horrendous!
The phone is slick-looking and Touch Wiz looks cool, but if it's got the same processor and internal storage as the G1/MyTouch it makes no sense to upgrade. I've owned the G1 for a year and I've learned my lesson...I love T-Mobile but the first carrier that comes out with an Android phone with a 1GhZ processor and at least 8GB internal storage gets my business.
This probably has the same proc as the Samsung Moment, the 800 MHz S3C6410. Seems like all the handsets that Samsung is launching this time around are coming with that chip. I could be wrong though.
