HTC HD2 turns up in purported T-Mobile USA materials

We've already had some indication that HTC's take on Windows Mobile 6.5, the HD2, would be headed to T-Mobile UK, and heard straight from HTC itself that the phone would indeed be headed to the US in next year, but it looks like we may now have one more key piece of the puzzle. If that slide pictured above is authentic as it's purported to be, it looks like the smartphone will be heading to none other than T-Mobile USA, and presumably sometime in that "early 2010" period HTC mentioned. Of course, this slide noticeably doesn't make mention of Windows Mobile at all, so the phone in question could also conceivably be HTC's rumored Android-based Dragon handset -- or... not.

If true I am getting it no matter what!!! Phone looks sexy!
Man, if this comes to T-Mo US, I'll have to sell my TP2.
yeah!!
... edge?...
No, 21 Mbps HSPA+.
Simply Amazing when I heard about this at Midnight. I really hope it IS the HTC Dragon and that it will run Android! If not I"m still getting this 1st Q even with Windows Mobile. But it seriously could be the Dragon so its exciting to think about at least. Way to GO T-Mobile on NOT Passing on the Best Handsets lately!!!
I smell change coming in All the Best ways for 2010 for T-Mobile.
Bring it!
In the linked video below (2nd video on the page) being demoed by an HTC rep, at 51 seconds, at the top of the screen list, you can see the entry "Verizon Wireless Accessories." Unlike the photo above (take a close look guys), this video isn’t a fake. Verizon will get this phone! http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/06/h...ions-on-video/
Dude he is just in contact list...
Uhh, yes! Loves me some HTC HD2, T-Mobile US to boot. I think now is the appropriate time to tell everyone to suck it!
I knew sticking with T-Mobile wouldnt be a bad thing.
Tmobile USA : holding composure...
Android Handset : Trying not to have accident in pants
THE A, GO, Neeeeeeee!!!
In regards to the comment about the engadget video where you can see "Verizon Accesories" on the video; just prior to that, as the guy scrolls through his contacts, you can see that he has contacts for balance, minutes, etc. Well, they all begin with # and then the number such as #BAL, #MIN etc. For T-mobile, it is checked using #BAL# and #MIN#...for AT&T, it's *MIN#. While I wouldn't bet the farm that this means that this will be a Verizon phone (Dear Lord, please this this phone come to Verizon), I think it is a positive sign that Verizon is giving this a good look or that there is an announcement in the near future. Q1 2010 works for me because I don't get my $100.00 credit for a new phone til March....bwah ha ha ha
Just talked to a Verizon rep in a store and he told me, off the record, that Verizon is getting the HD2 before the end of 2009. It's part of the push of HTC phones with Verizon.
I actually just ordered my Verizon TP2 this morning and told him and he recommended against it, explaining that it is being phased out and most likely won't be sold/available in any stores ever. Apparently, there were alot of software issues with the Verizon TP2 and that's why they're not pushing it through to stores. Of course, there are other ROMs out there from XDA which will fix most/all of the issues, but I found it interesting nonetheless.
Now to decide...return my TP2 when it arrives and wait for HD2 on Verizon? Or stick with TP2, buy the HD2 no-contract, and sell the TP2?
Get the new HD2 ! Way better phone with a 1g processor and 4.3 screen .
I never thought I would say this, but I would leave sprint for this phone and pay the extra monthly rate. Sad but happy to!
Yeah... so... I have a Storm with Verizon... my contract is up so I can get a discount... was waiting on Storm 2, but now after seeing this phone.... I want the HD2.... or the HTC Dragon if it actually is the same phone with Android... Very impressive...
