T-Mobile Tap coming November 11, Samsung Behold II on November 18?
The CLIQ might be getting the lion's share of the Android spotlight on T-Mobile at the moment, but it's not the only Google-equipped gear in the carrier's pipeline -- the other big news there would be the Behold II from Samsung, a logical successor to the myTouch 3G with an AMOLED display and 5 megapixel cam. Seems like there's a little bit of a wait left, because TmoNews has scored some launch documentation suggesting that they're planning on a November 18 to get it pushed out to the public (and let's be honest, we'd all rather have that positively sick nasty myTouch Fender Limited Edition anyhow). Moving our attention downmarket, there's apparently a self-branded (read: a manufacturer you've never heard of) full touch device called the "Tap" that'll be hitting on the 11th of next month, likely slotting in below the Highlight in the carrier's range. No offense, there, Tap, but we're going to have to take a Behold II over ya.

Im waiting to see what the DROID does myself....
What's the specs on these bad boys?
I cuently have three phones: an HTC TouchHD with its win6.1+ TouchFLO (which I used for over an year and I'm now trying to sell even if I love it); a Nokia N97 with its Symbian S60, and an HTC Hero with its Android+ Sense UI.
ey are all preety good phones but the Hero , thanks to Android and SenseUI is the best by far.
I've had it for 4 months and still never ceases to fill me with joy every time I use one of its exceptional free apps (I have installed 181 of them and the Hero is still unbelivably fast).
Now I have pre ordered the HTC HD2 which should be delivered to my door in exactly 14 days, and I'll get rid of the N97 and the touchHD, but I'm gonna keep the Hero: it is a just too good.
The only reasons why I can't have it as my primary phone is that the screen is too small for confortable sat nav while driving, it has not voice dialing (which apparently is coming) and the virtual k-board is...virtual.
I am obliged to carry a separate phone for work anyway, so I decided to use the Hero and the HD2, but if the new moto-Android manages to fix the 3 bugs that keep the Hero from being perfect I have no doubt that this device will pull Moto back from the abyss.
I really loved TouchFlo 3d on my trusty TouchHD, but Android + SenseUI (+its app market) is on a different level, once you have used it for a while you just can't go back to use anything else, (and in the last year I also had and ditched a Samsung Omnia with its touch WIZ and an iPhone 3gs)
I preordered the HD2 just because a capacitive 4.3" screen whith a new version of TouchFLO in top of the best hardware in the market was just too hard to resist, but deepinside me I know that against my will, I have become an Android convert.
Old news. T-Mobile reps confirmed these to me over the phone 3 weeks ago. Anyways, I want T-Mobile USA to announce that lovely N900 any day now.
Gawd how I wish we were getting the Droid.
How the hell did they get a full keyboard, 1 Ghz Processor into a slider thats just about as this as the myTouch?
Ive got a G1 and the myTouch now..... if Verizon werent so damn expensive I would have jumped ship for the Droid.
Lets hope that Samsung has some nice specs. I know the Fender MT3G has the 288 MB ram on it, but its still using that old garbage ass Qualcomm CPU = SLOW.
How come no one knows the specs on the Behold 2 and its coming out in a month?
I think everyone assumes this is the Samsung Galaxy which has been out in Europe for months, but with a facelift. Check out those specs, it's probably the same.
I can't have it as my primary phone is that the screen is too small for confortable sat nav while driving.

I can only feel disappointment at the Behold II, basically the Galaxy with a smaller battery and different face. Why not just release the
Galaxy? I guess if TMo prices this right and includes the 1500mAh battery as an extended it would work. I'll take Sammy in
this space over Motorola or others.
