Leaked docs show HTC's DROID Eris launching on November 6th for $99, running Android 1.5

The percentage of electronics at the end of their lives which were recycled.
The EPA found that the percentage remained consistent from 1999-2005. Even as recycling rates went up, the amount of electronics reaching end of life outpaced the increase, leaving the figure static. (source: EPA, July 2008)

now what about the passion, or what ever its called with the snapdragon? cause if i go out and buy this and then that comes out soon after im going to be mad.
Once the Eris gets Android 2.0 there wont even be a huge difference between the phones. Some people may really just like how Sense works.
except for the extra inch+ of screen of course
Implying that people who buy the Droid Eris are cheapskates is not the most prudent thing to say.
seriously what the hell is that? different strokes for different folks...
I'd rather have the Sprint hero and a cheaper plan (with unlimited wireless calls).
JUST IN! Both the Droid Eris and the Droid by Motorola will be available in all circuits on the 6th of November. Available to order within the indirect channel a day or two before.
I have a feeling that this device will be the better of the two Android devices for Verizon. I really Luke the look of this device. I like the fact that it doesn't have a physical keyboard and the Sense UI is remarkable. Also, you can't beat the price. For $99 you can't buy a better phone unless you get the iPhone 3G. If I were on Verizon and waiting for a new device to buy, I would get this one over the Droid. I heard that the device will be eligible for the Android 2.0 upgrade. That would make it an even better buy. Verizon finally has a great device to sell.
I'm terribly confiused and can't sort myself out. The Droid is a Motorola phone. The Droid Eris is, apparently, an HTC phone. Motorola and HTS work in the same "phone producing" sector. Apparently Droid is a series, of which (presumably) Droid Eris is a part of. How is that possible? Is the "Droid" line a rebranding of Android itself?
