New XPERIA X10 hands-on video brings the snappy
Sony Ericsson's Android-based XPERIA X10 was mighty sluggish when we played with it at the launch a couple weeks ago, but this new video from hdblog.it shows what looks like a much newer software build that's dramatically faster and more responsive. There's nothing much new here in terms of features, but just the fact that the X10 is in the wild and running well is encouraging -- especially since we're really digging that media playback interface. Now all we need is some Stateside shipping details and we'll be all set. Video after the break.

Love it!
Hope it's less than 400$
May still get one anyways.I've been looking for a good Android with a sweet UI.
Very nice... much better than the current droolfest, the HD2...
Seems like the guy is chuckling a little bit at the end of the video at how fast the phone is lmao
Did they steal the soundtrack from Underseige II?
Other than that, the phone looks great.
I was thinking MGS / Unreal Tournament
Software needs to be made to be even snappier. That made me a bit disappointed to see the latency.
BTW Sony-Ericsson, how about you throw a few more Gb of storage in there?
If I had to choose right now between the HD2 and Xperia X10, I'd honestly choose the HD2 right now...go ahead and vote me down
As someone who has come from using WM phones for the last 3 years to Android ( UK HTC Hero) I'd advise not to go for HD2 though.
Although WM introduced me to the world of Smartphones and their power, my android phone has taken that to a new level of enjoyment and usuability.
Mind you, it's shoking to me how many tech savvy people I know who still only look for 'dumb'phones. I had our trainer in work yesterday showing off his Tocco phone by showing some of it's features and apps. I then started to show and list some of the apps I have on a smartphone and he was kind of left commenting on how he wanted an Android phone.
So by all means, go for a HD2 over a dumbphone, but the power of phones such as the X10 cannot be ignored .
Nice. The only weaknesses I found so far were the slow zoom in/out in web browsing, and the overflow of blue in the interface (but that can be fixed by a theme changing feature I guess).
I'm really hoping that this will be available through T-Mobile when and if it hits the states.
omg! i recently got a tp2 but i really want this xD
Yummy :D
Now we're talking..stayed with my X1 and skipped Satio which was a good call.
Love that monster (X10) but hate the 65k as i was hoping for 262k @ least but android 1.6 is limited to 65k or something right??
Android 2.0 can handle 16M but i was wondering how the x10 will be upgraded to android 2.0 with only 65k?
Anyways, roll on feb :o)
Hopefully a keyboard version hits the states.
Now it's ALOT faster in the menues...
