We've got enough rumor momentum going now so that we don't really doubt the existence of the Nokia
Nuron for T-Mobile -- but if you're the particularly skeptical type, you might like to take a glance at
Cell Phone Signal's new press shots of the handset. As you can clearly see, this is a dead ringer for the
5230 it's been wrought from, the only difference being that it'll undoubtedly swap out the Euro 3G for some
AWS bands that T-Mobile USA knows how to use. We'll admit, we're concerned from the outset that T-Mobile's going to make the grave error of trying to price this thing at $99 or higher -- but if the marketing wizards go for broke and price it down between, say, $30 and $50, we could see this being a serious low-end blockbuster. Is that crazy? Is it even a plausible scenario? Time will tell -- we've only got another month and change to wait if the latest stream of intel is accurate.
wtf. Bring the X6 32gb to america already. That or start subsidizing the N900. I want it on discount. Stupid G1.
T-Mobile has a tendency to overcharge a little bit upon release, but they always drop it to what it should be soon after. Its a classic case of taking advantage of early adopters.
Absolutely agree on price. It needs to be a free to $79 deal to be a true option. It is a more powerful Palm Pixie, featureset wise, so it has to battle it on price, not exceed it. I give TMobileUSA a month to drop price below $80 or blame slow sales on Symbian. They really need to offer it for $219 with Even More Plus and no contract, and it REALLY gets attractive.
In 2009, as compare to 2008, nokia,s growth rate of touchscreen phones is 4070.80 %, that is some growth to be honest in a year, according to CANALYS. thats despite negative campaign about Symbian from American blog sites, like this one. Now nokia is 2nd most selling touch screen brand in the world, thats effort of only one yer 2009 in touch market, Nokia may become top touchscreen Smartphone seller in this year, that too with Symbian, what engagdet will have to say than :)
Even at the travesty price of $99, free navigation and dedicated, locally stored maps make it worth the price. Garmin's still selling devices at $129. Tethering is so easy on Symbian phones too, that at 3G speeds, I can replace my DSL service--just no torrenting :(
