Hey, who needs
Flash anyway? Google's had dedicated
YouTube apps available for both
S60 and
Windows Mobile for a solid year now, and today they've announced re-upped versions with a handful of new features that help 'em keep pace with their built-in Android and iPhone counterparts. The biggest change is the addition of support for your individual user account, meaning you can check your favorite videos, subscriptions, and playlists on the road. You've also got a new home screen layout that's supposedly optimized for larger screens -- a trend that's certainly picked up steam since these apps were initially introduced -- and search suggestions as you type (the suggestions for "engadget" are rather fascinating, by the way). Both versions are available for download now.
It's funny to think people still use Windows Mobile "Classic".
@socca1157 Maybe to your face.
@socca1157 Ohya, and there's a crap load of Windows Mobile "Classic" phones out there, including the just about to be released HTC HD2 on T-Mobile. So it's not that absurd.
I have an HTC Titan I got for $85 shipped off ebay which, thanks to skyfire, allows me to read text with the full website in view, lets me play embedded flash video, gives me an easy way to sync with my google apps, and someday will probably run android if I have my druthers. Oh, and did I mention I'm currently flashed to a Cricket plan that gives me unlimited talk, text, and data for $35/month? So yeah, I still use windows mobile "classic".
@onecallednick. Well aren't you special and fancy.
