HTC Desire gets a firmware update already
That Desire we just reviewed? Yeah, it's already got its first public firmware update available for download that'll take you to 1.15.405.4. Thing is, we have absolutely no idea what it does, other than the fact that it's being offered in HTC's desire to provide you "with the best user experience." That's always a good thing in our books. If you plan on applying it, that firstly means you have a Desire already -- congratulations -- but on a more serious note, HTC's recommending that you apply it attached to a WiFi hotspot or be prepared for a ton of 3G data usage. Aren't OTA updates grand?

Maybe it enables a USA version.
(Hi Verizon: where's our Incredible/Nexus One?!?!?!)
@Johnny Rockets
For real, March 23 has come and gone Spring is hear, April is hear CTIA is over what else do we need to happen all stars and sun to align? That could be bad.
@chriset I hear that someone here needs to learn how to use the word "hear" properly.
Isn't AT&T getting this phone as there HTC android phone?
@DallasB
No one knows, HTC or AT&T or any other carrier has literally said nothing about this phone, but T-Mobile has hinted to getting the HTC Bravo (Desire in EU).
For our sakes, I hope AT&T does not get this phone, they will surely cripple it in an attempt to make the iPhone look godly infront of a crippled android
Wonder what it does. Seems important since they are rushing it out before most ppl even can buy it. Please, tell us more!
Nothing yet, maybe they are waiting until after Easter now?
First thing it did was tell me the Engadget app crashed...
