Palm deploying crack team of kind strangers to give you stuff

If you're walking around with your Pre or Pixi prominently displayed and some dude comes up to you and tries to hand you a bag, don't freak out: odds are you've merely been selected for one of Palm's "random acts of wow." The company is playing coy about where these people are or for how long the promotion is going to last, but apparently they've got people all over the world on the prowl for Palm users that look like they could use an accessory or three, with gifts ranging from stickers all the way up to pricey Touchstones and everything in between. So keep that mace / pepper spray / stun gun holstered for a second until you figure out what's going on, alright?

I think if Palm really wants to save themselves, they need to give bags out to people that DON'T have a Palm device as an incentive to buy. What profit is Palm going to bring in giving them to customers who already bought their product (yes, it's an extremely nice gesture and I commend Palm for it. But that's not the point).

What Palm should have in those bags:
Coupon for 10% off a Palm Pre or Pixi with 2 year activation
Coupon for 20% off an accessory
Stickers, keychain, hat, etc. (free promotion FTW)
An occasional Touchstone just to add some spice and get the hype up

if people already use webos & have the phone it doesn't help spread the features & glory of webos, but this type of promotion costs next to nothing so I won't harp on them bc palm is simply doing what they've ben doing & being awesome! Sans their launch plan for the pre.... But I have purchased 3 webos phones for myself & family so I'm trying palm I really am!!!
