Nokia X2 follows X3's footsteps, welcomes Series 40 to the Xseries fold
A number of Series 40 devices were branded with Nokia's "XpressMusic" label back in the day, so why not Xseries, too? Well, Nokia must be on the same page, because it has just announced the X2 candybar without a trace of smartphone DNA to its name after the X3 kicked things off a few months ago. The relatively low-end phone clocks in with a 5 megapixel cam with flash, 2.2-inch QVGA display, Ovi Store and Facebook support, dual loudspeakers, integrated FM radio, dedicated music keys, and microSD expansion up to 16GB (32GB would've been nice, but considering the scarcity and overwhelming price of said cards, it really doesn't matter too much in practice). The 13mm-thick piece is due before the end of June for €85 ($113), which is a heck of a value by our rough math.

I love the Nokia Font.
i'd love to see the S60-powered C5 with X-series styling. For dumbphones these look pretty hot.
Nokia needs to hit the dumbphone market hard with nice looking phones. Everyone wants smartphones these days, and never use em as a real smartphone. I'm sure there are still tons of people who want dumbphones, like mothers and what not, Looking at the offerings in NA right now, itsl ike 80% smartphones, which all require data plans, making it really hard for those who don't want smartphones and their data plans to save money on their bills and get a nice looking phone. The last good looking phone on the market I see is the Nokia Mural, and that isn't even that great.
Yep, S40 is not smartphone material as opposed to anything S60 or S^3, but I have to agree. This is outstanding value for such a low price point. Incredible, really.
In case people didn't notice...see how the App Store is creeping into dumb phones - and this is the same App Store which runs across both dumbphones (S40), not-so-dumbphones(S60) and smartphones (S^3, S^4....). No other competitor has that.
Ummm, Chris, you realize that the X3 has been out for some time now and it runs S40 as well right?
