The VGA camera on your
original Breeze got you down? Time for an upgrade, is it? Fact is, if you bought the original Breeze, odds are good that upgrading hardware is the last thing on your mind -- you're probably the type of individual that waits for something to break before replacing it -- but who knows, maybe AT&T will be able to land a whole new generation of simplephone lovers (yes, we just coined that term) now that it's brought the Breeze II clamshell to market. The slightly upgraded model features a 1.3 megapixel camera and honest-to-goodness 3G data with
Video Share support, all while carrying over the three assignable contact buttons below the display that made the original famous (or, you know, notable anyway). It's available now for $20 on contract after rebate.
this isn't free... why?
*Yawn*
Can we get some better dumbphones please. My mom needs a new clamshell, the mural looks great, but I wish we'd get some better phones.
I really wish ATTWS would partner with Doro - they know how to build a quality simple phone, think Jitterbug-simple but with an affordable plan. I want to get her a Microcell, but Doro doesn't make any US spec 3G phones. The 410gsm is the clamshell that ATTWS needs to sell, is far easier to use than this Pantech, and has ringtones the hard of hearing can actually hear (and it's not made in China).
This Pantech is still just too complicated for most seniors. Instead of the data charges ATTWS pushes for "video sharing, email, and the MediaMall", I'd rather pay extra for phone call quality that doesn't suck.
