Start that wild imagination of yours running, because you're going to need it to make sense of this little tidbit. A tipster who claims (and gives us visual evidence as proof) that he was able to root out HTC product names like
Incredible and
Legend months before release on some sort of internal component bidding site has sent us a new shot showing three names we haven't heard before: "Glacier," "LED," and "Vision." Vision is listed with "TMO" next to it, suggesting it's coming to T-Mobile -- though we've no idea whether that's referring T-Mobile's European or American branch, which typically operate with virtually zero overlap. Glacier sounds like a phone that's either really slow, really cold, or is rapidly disappearing due to environmental forces beyond HTC's control, and LED sounds like... well, Light Emitting Diode. Yep, your guess is as good as ours.
[Thanks, foil]
And 'Vision', you won't believe it actually works until you see it.
Ok easy now I'm gettin' ready for the EVO!
@majorhunadadun to bad the evo is on one of the worst networks that claim to have 4g. Pretty sad sprint is already preparing wimax for failure. And the evo wont work when they. Patch for LTE. LOL
@hebrewknight I gotta tell ya pimp daddy... Sprint 's network is quite good. I have zero problems. 3g is super fast. As for 4g, I'm not too worried about it. Wimax and LTE won't have it's shit together for a year or so. So in the meantime I'll enjoy one of the baddest phones on the market. Don't get jealous now!
Will at least ONE of them have a nice keyboard and modern specs? Please!
All I want is a phone like the Incredible with the keyboard of something like the Ally. Oh yeah, and with HTC's Sense. And it's gotta be on Verizon.
Is that REALLY too much to ask??
Can't wait till I get my Evo. Bet this batch will top this. I guess the evo won't be the big shit anymore. Oh well, in my mind it still is.
Still nothing more about the rumored HTC Scorpion then?
I'm hoping "LED" means it's gonna be an HTC with a huge OMLED screen like the Evo or possibly the sexy Dell streak at 5" but unlike the evo the "LED" I hope can display more than 65k colors!!!!!
HTC WTF!!!!!!
The Evo is the best phone ever created but held back with just 65k colors come on man!!!!
@Unverified User your post made me laugh! WTF!!
I Dont care what they name them....just gimmie an EVO with a Landscape Keyboard...thats it...nothing more...nothing less. I dont care about thickness....i dont care about weight
@3 Phones Jugglin thats going to be the HSPA+ phone later this year on T-Mobile possibly. Project Emerald.
EVO is trash people. Lol. Its not even true 4g. I take That back. The network with that old ass cdma tech is trash. In other news "sprint wakes up, wimax is failure, upgrades to LTE sorry EVO buyers. Ur device doesn't work. " LOL
I'm hoping one of those new names is for a Verizon version of the EVO. Here's to hoping!!!! (Also, I lust after the EVO.)
Give me an HTC WP7 phone (like the Mondrian) with a keyboard for AT&T (with possible LTE capability in a firmware update) and I will be happy.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and speculate that those are not phones, but actually names or brands of components for phones, considering that they are found on a component bidding page and one of them is "LED".
what about the HTC "Jack Bauer" ? now that's a cool name for a phone.
vision sounds like a really big screen or high res screen
glacier sounds like something thats cool,
LED is probably a nice OLED screened phone
I'm really hoping this have something to do with the rumored "Project Emerald" whispers that is creeping around & about with T-Mobile's next "Sidekick" actually being a highend Android phone (and a possible keyboard?)
....I mean seriously, we need this thing like.. yesterday. Nexus One despite popular belief is not a "T-Mobile" phone so the highest end we're getting is a friggin MyTouch Slide :(
I know this has been said to death but HTC is on f*cking FIRE!
I wonder if "LED" is a typo, and was supposed to be "LEN" like the ones above it (under "Glacier")... still doesn't mean anything i suppose
