Windows Live Messenger comes to iPhone
It's certainly not the first app Microsoft has crafted for the iPhone -- the Bing app has been alive and well for a while now, among others -- but you could argue that this is a pretty important one. Windows Live Messenger has just launched for iOS, and it's quite a bit more than your basic IM app with support for some manner of social service aggregation, media-rich status messages, Hotmail integration, and even built-in photo effects. Many folks will want an IM client that can span a bunch of services at once -- but if you're a Windows Live fanatic stuck in an iPhone world, this should be just what the doctor ordered. Let's hope the experience is just as good on Windows Phone 7, right?

@Poseidon007 So was I.
@balthazar im in England and I downloaded it
@balthazar
It wasn't in Australia yesterday but it is now.
Face time integration?
Wow it only took for ever!!
So I tried it out, it nice but you can hardly customize it. It supports push and multitasking but takes forever to switch to. I'm keeping it but I do think Beejive is equal ifnot slightly better due to the ability to customize everything
Too late Microsoft.
Can't seem to find it in Dutch AppStore..!
Surprisingly, I like it. Here is why:
1. Hotmail integration. It shows email layout w/ both graphics and text more accurately than m.Box Mail (which is a paid app!). So it is not just for IM even though you might not use the social networking features.
2. Has Push notification, although others also do.
3. Concurrent login from different locations. Now none of the other apps I have tested, can do it, including the MSN Messsenger (not from MS). This, bundled with Push, makes it perfect! I recall the last Live app I tried on Windows Mobile doesn't support concurrent login, so this is better than the one that they built for their own mobile platform??
4. Status can be updated; other status and icon related things all shown; which are hits and misses on other apps, even though some might be supported.
And this is only from a very brief test. So to the one who said "too late" (jawan830), may be you can recommend an alternative that can do all the above I mentioned, because I haven't seen one yet.
