Great podcast guys, loving the new lineup
When do you think that the unlocked Nexus One will get a price drop? I want to get it in anticipation of switching from Rogers to Wind or Mobilicity some time in the near future and because it seems like an all around wicked phone. However, I don't want to buy it this summer only to have the price drop a month or two later when the nexus two is announced. Assuming the Nexus One will receive a price drop when its successor is announced, when can we expect this price drop/Nexus Two announcement? Basically is now a good time to pull the trigger and get the Nexus One?

@mariokarter Unfortunately looks like there won't be any successors to the nexux one.

During the podcast, regional carrier and T-Mobile affiliate "i wireless" was brought up. I just wanted to say that they are a legit company. I am from Moline, IL which is party of the Quad Cities area. i wireless covers this area of IA/IL and goes deep into Iowa. The company even purchased the naming rights of a local venue which used to be called The Mark, but now it's the 'i wireless Center' (http://www.iwirelesscenter.com/). They have a couple local stores that I could hit up if you would like, to take pictures, get quotes, etc. I'm feeling giddy at the thought of doing some on-the-ground reporting for a fine internet establishment like EnMo :-D
I am looking for a new smart phone and future OS upgrades are very important to me. I got burned, in more than one way, with Windows Mobile phone when a promised upgrade never materialized with me and I have been reluctant buy a carrier controlled smart phone ever since. The obvious option now is the Nexus One but the new hardware coming out this summer is very attractive. Is there any concrete word on how the carriers are going to handle Android OS upgrades? I am specifically interested in what they are going to do as Google starts to bundle feature into the OS that the carriers previously charged more than $20/month. Most carriers have announced froyo upgrades for this summer's handset but is there any hint that carriers are going to balk at bringing gingerbread to current handset? I tend to keep my phone for more than 2 years, contract or not, so this is a deciding factor for me.
