Motorola Bali and Rambler flip phones hitting Boost Mobile on August 11
Boost Mobile does a fine enough job advertising its $50 monthly unlimited plan, but how's about the phone selection? First up is the Rambler (shown right), which boasts a full QWERTY keypad, integrated 1.3 megapixel camera with video capture, stereo Bluetooth, IM / email capability and inbuilt GPS. The Bali, on the other hand, rocks a more traditional input surface along with an MP3 player, external touch controls and a microSD slot. Wow! A flip phone. I feel like Michael J. Fox in Back To The Future right about now.
Sad enough flip phones hasn't been in since 2006, it's more sad that Moto keeps producing them. Moto is a joke. Surprise Apple didn't gut them like a fish in their ad. There's so much crap they could have said about them. But I guess people can smell shitty phones.
Put Android on the Rambler and it would kick ass!!!!
These are basic phones for basic people. When I was working at at&t, people come in all the time wanting a flip phone. Sadly, I had nothing to offer them because my store would always have more smartphones and less basic ones. So, there is still a huge market for flip phones. I, as well as you two, are not in that market.
The Motorola Rambler has a full QWERTY keyboard, plus two color displays, a 1.3-megapixel camera, threaded text messaging, and great call quality. The aptly named Motorola Rambler houses a QWERTY keyboard in a compact clamshell. Though I have questions as to the phone's ergonomics, I do like its overall aesthetic and its midrange features are decent. The Motorola Rambler is $99.99 without a contract. Keys are slightly small, but much larger in contrast to the blackberry curve. The top of the display screens remains black, even with custom wallpaper. If you're looking for a good texting phone without all the frills of a smartphone, this is a good phone. This phone is well priced and worth the money. I finally believe I have found a phone not only worth the price paid but also durable. The new Motorola Rambler mobile phone packs functionality and features IM style threaded messaging, Web browsing, digital camera and video experiences at an affordable price on the reliable Boost Mobile network. It’s the latest flip-out phone with full QWERTY keypad and enhanced messaging features, letting you juggle your daily communications in style. The cell phone is equipped with a 2.5mm headset jack.
