Did the Nokia C7 just get FCC approval?
Sure seems like it to us. What you're looking at here is the leaked image of the C7's front (top) compared to the label diagram of a model code RM-718 that just got FCC approval, featuring quadband EDGE, HSPA 850 / AWS / 1900 / 2100, Bluetooth, and WiFi -- and if you ask us, the similarities are a little too plentiful to ignore. As a refresher, this should end up slotting in just beneath the mighty N8 while still carrying over the 640 x 360 display and Symbian^3, so it should be a good lower-cost alternative... you know, if anodized aluminum shells aren't your cup of tea.
Update: On second look, the alignment of controls and the headphone jack on the top edge doesn't seem to line up perfectly with the spy shots we've seen, and this one might be a bit more squared around the corners. Hard to say -- but if it's not the C7, makes you wonder what it actually is considering how beefy the 3G radio is.

Hurry up and get it on sale.
I Hope the C7 as been given the o.k to be Produced as i really want Nokia not to just create just one Symbian3 mobile the N8,an the C7 looks a nice slim mobile from Nokia
We still don't have heard of the X7 so it may be it.
The power button / usb port / 3.5 audio jack alignement looks like the one on the N86.
Or maybe the E6...
C7, E6 or X7 ? We'll see :)
Maybe it is a surprise attack on US soil with the first MeeGo device?
I wish...
Nokia has decent hardware but, Symbian come on man that ship has sailed lol
Symbian just die already!!!
@PhillyZ i agree they should've not made it open source and merged it with meego for an epic win
@Nintendoftl
that sounds cool, but each are very different in purpose, architecture, and design. The only combination they could have made was done, and that's in sharing the Qt bindings in the runtime layer.
Full NAM 3G is supported finally other than N8.
Why ATT? Out of all the carriers...
At first glance, I would have said N86 due to the dimensions, which are almost the same as the N86, as well as the port designs at the top, which very much resemble the N86. But it's not the N86. Whatever it is, it's 52 mm wide x 104 mm long.
You can rule out the Xseries since it doesn't fit the design language, and Eseries is out since you'll never see a form factor that small, and the Nseries is obviously out. So it's down to the Cseries. C7 is out since the shape is totally different, unless this is a new carrier specific design (ahem... gayT&T), C6 no, C5 no, C3 no, C2 no, C1 no.
So basically I have no idea what the hell this is, other than the fact that it's a candybar device since the BL-5CT is a thick battery. It's probably a numbered series like the 5250 that leaked.
According to Test 1 Report, it has 900/AWS/1900/2100 bands.
Looking forward to it. Symbian 3 is a true multitasker
i look forward to the nokia myself...i love watching media on my device
