BlackBerry Desktop 6.0 pops official for PCs
It's not as cool as BlackBerry 6 on your phone, of course -- but owners of RIM devices are probably going to want to check out the latest release of BlackBerry Desktop, which adds new settings transfer capabilities, a new-from-the-ground-up UI, and integrated Media Sync -- including support for the trick WiFi sync mode that's new in BlackBerry 6. It's only available for PCs at the moment, but take heart, Mac owners: 6.0's UI updates were designed to bring the PC software up to snuff with what you'd already had, anyway.

Why am I not excited? I feel sorry for RIM. Really, I do.
You mean to tell me that RIM has a desktop client that will sync it's phone's data via a USB cable? Really??? Watch out Apple and Google, there's a new sheriff in town and he's carrying a phone, PC and has an USB cable hanging out of his pocket.
Next thing you are going to say is that it you can play interweb sites on it. You can??? Come on!!!!!
So just shy of a year after Windows 7 came out they finally have a version of BB Desktop that is *supposed* to be fully compatible with Windows 7.
Slow RIM, slow.
Yeah!?
I really wonder if anyone here uses a Blackberry sometimes.
They are not really the gump devices people think they are.
I've been happily using Win 7 and BB since last year and been using blackberries for four years.
It's funny that half the stuff people say you can't do with a Blackberry, I do with my Blackberry.
(just shows they are not speaking from experience)
(don't flame me, i'm not being anti any other device.)
Has anyone tried using the desktop program? It is UNGODLY slow. Agonizingly slow. This on a 2.4gHz C2D with 2gb of RAM. WTF?
