Yes, there are some well known 3rd party voicemail providers out there (I personally use youmail which just released a visual voicemail app for android) but the point of the article was about setting it up with GV's visual voicemail app.

Note for you iphone users: considering the GV android app was written by a 3rd party and not google, it is theoretically possible for it to be ported to the iphone, but don't expect to be seeing it in the appstore, it would be something for jailbreak.
And it still doesn't have traffic on top of satellite map... why do they cut features that are available on other operating systems from what they have for their own?
He didn't need to give it up, he can use it for personal usage, it's just not acceptable for business usage.
It will be mine. Mine. All MINE! Moohahahaha
Bizarrely retro remote? It has its own pot. and an answer switch, just like all other HTC earsets have now...
I'd have to say the Xbox 360.
YES, Lincoln SHOULD have allowed the "Union" to dissolve. The war was about the rights of states to go their own separate ways, a right upon which this country was founded, and spelled out in the Declaration of Independence. Yes, slavery could have been ended by means of the government buying them all their freedom. But would that have appeased the southern states enough that they not want to form their own government? Why should they not have been allowed to? The phrase "civil war" was just a name tacked on to what should have correctly been titled "the war of southern independence", which it would have gone by had the south won. Could both the north and south prospered separately? We will never know. Those of you who question Ron Paul's knowledge of history should study up yourselves, and see that Lincoln was not the saint you all believe him to be. My guess would be that Ron Paul knows more of history than any of you.
My MDA is on the fritz (figures it would go bad once the warranty expires) and I'd love to take a Wing out to flight...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
