I've been using this device for about a month now, and I just can't describe how much I don't like it. No proximity sensor, no way to disable the touchscreen when you're on a call, difficult to use interface, etc, etc. I hope that WM7 gets here soon.....

I can't tell you how many people have asked me phone recommendations "that are just phones". There is a large segment of the population that don't want"

- cameras
- web browsers
- games

All they want to do is make and receive calls. These units are hitting that market nicely.

A 700w would be really sweet! Now I just need Verizon to enable DUN, and get the Missing sync to support WM5 and I'll be able to take over the world get lots of work done...

It looks like the recent Quicktime 7.0.2 update may have broken my connection to Google Talk. Whenever I try to connect, I get an unexpected SSL error (-9843)

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.

"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
