Thats wierd because if the iphone had been originally released for Verizon I would have passed
I hope Apple's not taking a hard look at the Pre's physical keyboard. If future iPhone's come with a keyboard I will take my business elsewhere...
I wish it didn't have that slide out keyboard. I may be in the minority, but I those keyboards
Strange, my reception is noticeably better than the original. I am very satisfied.

I still miss my blackberry curve though.
Nice device too bad its with Sprint and too bad its not GSM, though I suppose the i900 is pretty much the same....
Fortunately this is the USA and not Soviet Russia a we have choices so the millions who want will buy the iPhone just as millions more will buy blackberry or various HTC devices...

I haven't seen a single device out there that is perfect but having tried several i prefer the iPhone platform
I for one am glad there is no physical keyboard the presence of one would be a deal breaker for me...in fact I wouldn't even give it a second glance if it had a physical keyboard, but thats my personal preference.
Why do people go through the trouble of making these mock ups? Whats the point it seems so ridiculous.
No profits go to Japan for the sale of Escape hybrids any more than profits come here for the sale of a Prius, The technologies were developed separately and simultaneously by Ford and Toyota and they agreed to share rather than duke it out in court.

Just like the Bessemer-Kelly process for mass producing steel over a century ago, simultaneously discovered but neither side having a legitimate claim on the other...get your facts straight.
Who cares! is this America or Soviet Russia since when is it illegal for a company to make a profit. They could charge 10,000.00 for the phone if they want, no one would buy it but that's their decision. No one is forcing anyone to buy the phone, or perhaps they should give the phones away as an entitlement?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
