"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
No offense man but in 2004 I paid roughly $640.00 for my Hp Ipaq HX 4700! The only real advantage there was VGA screen, Magnesium casing, and dual memory (SD & Compact Flash). The iphone is far better even despite the lack of memory expansion. Worth it from that comparative perspective. Add to it that it can effective replace my 4gb Samsung K5 and my Samsung Sync phone then I still see a winner. Especially since it will be slightly under the cost of my Ipaq HX4700 from 2004. "End of two cent rant..."
