But I've been calling all the time I've "wasted" on my XP "research oriented". Therein lies the need to upgrade to Singularity. Oh Microsoft, you are so diabolical!
I agree, it does violate the bourgeoisie appeal of the Apple logo. Totally.
But you know it won't be up there for 5 years straight. We'll need to tinker with it, so will. And like everything else, it is, or will become, superfluous.
As I'm fond of saying (and this rule should be named after me): No technology ever dies. Welcome back, vacuum tubes!
The only thing stranger than the Optimus Maximus is Engadget's infatuation with it.
And, since the new iPhone will undoubtedly cost $50, the world will watch early adopters writh, yet again, in agony, as they moan "aloi, aloi, lama sabach tani".
Water resistant - now my girlfriend can throw it in her hairdo for long term storage, and wash and set her hair without worrying. Just beware any sparks trailing behind her as she goes her merry way.
Leather clad? I don't know if I want that.
In other words, we're coming full circle on this whole e-book thing. Let's just make the final leap and...stick with paper.
Oh, Zirconian, God of Silicon, is there no limit to Moore's Law? I beseech you, tell me it will end, and put me out of my misery! My out-of-date user manuals already trail behind me toward infinity, as my brain becomes packed with ever more minutiae, sparking as it threatens to go Supernova. Enough already!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
