My Little Big "Jetpac" and after all that work a yummy "Burgertime".
Looks real nice if they can get this out around the same time or before the Xperia, with a competitive price and better specs I'd jump on board. Android support would also be a huge plus (I'm surprised we're not seeing this being listed as bullet point on the top line phones).

Re: Interface, doesn't Asus have the Glide front end? Granted it looks like poo but they might spruce it up some for the release of this phone (it would be wise considering it'll be facing Touch3D and Panels)
Nothing says gadget freak better than a "is that a rectangular penis in your pocket or are you packing a HTC Shift" joke. I'd also use it to look up better jokes and so become less of a social misfit.
Right now I'd be satisfied with SDHC compatibility and direct play from an SD card. We don't need much storage but a logical and painless way of dealing with purchases should be an utmost priority. Lets not slip back to the condescending Nintendo tone of old.

Totally with you on the online accounts linking to purchases. Biggest hurdle there would be ensuring you're not just giving your account to everyone to load up on their Wii. Locking the account to a Wii Serial would also then require online verification before using any VC/WW title. It's not impossible but I don't see it as easy either.

What surprises me is the size of Nintendo but still the slow rate at which they develop their OS. After a year I had personally expected the wrinkles to be ironed out and several coats of polish to be applied.
Say hello to Omni? Well I hope so anyway, i need to pick up a new phone and while the Eten X800 looks nice the Omni is alluringly tempting in its elusiveness.
As MJ said, chances are these are going way way way outside Europe to some already expectant customers. And what is it with people slamming Vertu all the time? There is obviously a market for bling'd up mobiles as there is for illogical gadget hankering, each to their diamond encrusted own I say. :)

BTW, it's Slough, Berks or Berkshire.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
