Uhh... why not just call T-Mobile?

I did. They said I could order one today if I wanted. The price (for a two-year contract extension) is $249, but they will break it down into four $75 payments.
So if AIM 2.0 is going to launch "any day now" does that mean we will be finally getting the iPhone update that will allow apps to run in the background (well, however exactly Apple is implementing that)?
It the time since I sent you that original tip, it appears that this has been confirmed as nothing more than a color change on the device. While there is a software update available for T-Mobile Dash owners available at the link below, it's not the WinMo 6.1 update people were hoping for.

I had the same problem. Originally I thought it might be the Growl mail plug-in, but after removing OMiC, Mail worked fine again.

Thanks for the info!
Last disk I burned?

It was some videos I put together on a DVD. Nothing too exciting.
Oh... and while I'm asking, has anyone heard of one called MainMenu? It was recommended to me.

I tried Onyx once, but I really didn't know what it was doing so I didn't feel comfortable using it.
I'm not as technically minded as these other comments, so I have to ask: Why is a utility like this (or the other ones mentioned) even needed at all?

Specifically, what sort of performance or other benefits will I see by using them.
Are you using the latest version of Boot Camp?

I used to have this problem, but when I recently set-up a new Boot Camp drive and got the latest version of the Windows drivers (2.1 I believe), the problem didn't exist anymore.

It seems that if you have your software up to date, Apple has already fixed the problem.
Matt beat me to it, but I was going to suggest Plaxo as well. You can sync iCal, Google, and Outlook to it for free.
Thank you! Finally an intelligent comment.

I'm no huge fan of AOL, but I have been impressed by some sites and initiatives they've launched recently. When will people realize the old "AOL sucks" line is as old as the 90's? All you're doing is parroting the same thing over and over again instead of trying to look at things with an open mind. You can still hate AOL if you want but have a reason for it. The AOL of today is not the AOL of the 90's.

Someone mentioned that AOL Webmail is one of the best out there. I'd have to agree. I don't use it, but it does offer unlimited storage, free IMAP, and many other useful features like integrated AIM. I know GMail offers these things too, but not everyone wants to use Google.

Lastly, AOL would have never developed this if there weren't still a lot of people out there using the AOL Mac client. Personally I think it would be great for people who just aren't very tech savvy.

Obviously TUAW readers are tech savvy, so this probably won't appeal to them.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
