The localisation problem in Europe is down to them having to support lots of different languages. The thing is, that washes with RPGs and the like, but with Street Fighter II it must take no time at all to localise the languages! Grrr....
I don't know about Contra 4 but I bought Metal Slug 7 when I was in Tokyo a couple of weeks ago and that mother is tough! A macho beast if ever there was one, unless you use all 9 credits in easy mode, in which case you'll complete it in no time. If you do that you're just not macho enough!
My UK PAL copy of Mario Kart Wii suffers occasional disc read errors. Sometimes it won't load at all. Sometimes it stops reading the disc in the middle of a game and the game cuts out to a 'unable to read disc' screen. That said, once it does get running it's usually fine. I've played it for 3 hours straight on two occasions over the weekend with no problems.

No idea if that relates to SSBB problems though as we haven't even been graced with that on these shores yet!
- A Last.fm app to wirelessly scrobble music played on the iPhone

- An RSS reader as good as Widsets for S60.

- Blackberry Connect
@ Sam:
UMTS is 3G. HSDPA is "3.5G", HSUPA is "3.75G"!
O2 is by far the least advanced network in the UK so, iPhone or not, it's good for their customers that they're installing it.

The timing fits the expected iPhone launch plans for Europe so it certainly adds credence to the 'O2 for the UK' rumours. Looks like we're not getting a 3G phone then!
jpxdude: A firmware update would be through iTunes, not the website store.
Can someone explain what the problem is with the Gmail POP support in the iPhone? Is a problem withthe iPhone's mail software? My TyTn syncs perfectly with Gmail over POP...
All these designer USB flash drives are fast becoming collectors items - well I with a paltry 64MB capacity this one's got to have some use.
In reality you're just going to be there on your own hiding behind a tree to mug everyone who thinks it's real...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
