I bet he has shit stained underwear.
I'm pretty fat, so I'd buy a Santa suit, install SQL, and index gadget gifts for all the children of the world....and probably surf Engadget to get ideas for next years presents.

Ho-ho-Hope you pick me.
I was down on the MacBook Air at first, and then one day I woke up and decided I was fed up with carrying my 17" Pro everywhere. I evaluated what I used my pro away from home for.....turns out....office products, email, and web surfing was the only thing I needed.

I went to the Apple store, played with the new Air, went BACK home and thought about it for several more days....long story short, I picked one up and haven't looked back. It's SOOOOOO much easier to carry this thing around...I barely even know it's on my shoulder. I have a flight tomorrow and I'm looking forward to some Air in the air...not to mention having a load free experience as I run walk through the airport.

While I admit the design is a little dated, I still think it's very elegant. I got the MacBook Pro...and the Air...and I get head turns all the time from them both! Sexy!

I simply don't understand the demographic for this particular machine. One USB port? Are you kidding me?
Does anyone here take the iPhone SIM card out and use it in another phone for tethering?

Master Chief....but only if he's blind folded, wears a party hat, and hops on one leg. I would own him.
Bravo, Mr. Cooper! What an excellent post. It's funny, your iPhone references. I just switched from an iPhone to the 7501 and I agree with you totally....they are very opposite devices. The power this 7501 wields is uncanny and unmatched by anything I can think of. The only drawback, like others has stated, is the size.

This is my first 'unlocked' device and I'm really enjoying the freedom. I have a Verizon aircard that I use to tether data. With this device, I use the bluetooth PAN and connect with HSDPA speeds. Incredible! I'm also loving the A2DP profile. While a lot of phones sport this feature, strangely, my iPhone did not. My only guess is Steve's holding back for Leopard. I'm sure Apple will release their own set of stereo bluetooth headsets.

Thanks again for your post!

I'm amazed of how people can be such idiots. Even if you don't like the iPhone, at least appreciate it for the simple fact that it has raised the bar for all phone makers. Also, my hat is off to Apple for a UNBELIEVABLE first attempt at a cell phone. It's simply incredible.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
