Correct me if i'm wrong... but didn't Sony say the PS3 will only recognize up to 250 gig hard drives? Anything higher than that will be usable but, the playstation can only see 250 gig so the remaining 250 gig will be unusable and a total waste to get this for a PS3. This is more suitable for a notebook.
Oh and one more thing macs also has an option to use secure virtual memory. So pretty much macs can totally avoid this lame attack.
"Well the same is true of OSX forget your password adn you can go ahead and boot a OSX install disc and then reset it."

Little do you people know about OSX. There is a way to prevent this and Apple them selves provided it. Its on the OSX install disc, you can run this app that came on the disc and you can password protect your mac from ANY install discs being booted. You can google this or find it on the mac forum.
Ok where is the Combined optical digital input/audio line in (minijack)? I use a macbook pro and i have an optical cable i use to connect to my current speakers to play music. I may not get this just because the left out the optical digital input... What a waste, all this good sounding technology and no Optical??? Madness! Someone contact razer!
Also how do i know you will be slapped with the ETF even if you choose to transfer your number when activating the iPhone? Because it happened to me before... My original iPhone was taken to the Apple store to do some repair on it, so i took out my original SIM just like the apple rep told me to... Fast foward... Apple lost my iPhone and gave me a brand new one in the box sealed and all. So i got home put my SIM i took out from my lost iPhone into the new iPhone and it didn't unlock, i said you know what let me just use the SIM that came with the new iPhone, so i choose transfer existing number in the ATT setup in iTunes and choose over the same plan, txt and so on... When my bill came i was slapped with the ETF lol i forgot how much it was, i think it's like $200. I had to call ATT and explain the whole Apple lost my iPhone and they gave me a new one. Thankfully the lady was nice and removed the ETF :-)
OK, to clear this up a bit... There is no IPhone specific SIM card, but i must admit the iPhone is a bit tricky. This one time i placed my SIM card from my iPhone running 1.1.2 into an iPhone running 1.1.1 and it didn't work... It said connect to iTunes to activate so i connect to iTunes and the ATT activation wizard came up. By the way both phones were already activated legally through ATT originally. I just wanted to switch phone with friend... So to avoid activating the phone again with my SIM card in it which is already activated on my iPhone, i just updated that iPhone to 1.1.2. Good so now it is running the same version as my iPhone... guess what it completely re-locked the phone as if it was just purchased, i couldn't even use the main menu or anything before even if my friend put back in his iPhone SIM... It just completely locked it self and only way is to put in one of our SIM and do the activation process again. Problem to that is, by doing that to unlock the phone even when you choose already ATT customer in iTunes you just wanna transfer number and so on... On your next bill you will be slapped with the ETF and you have to call up ATT and explain to them and crap. There is no iPhone specific SIM but be careful the iPhone is a pure trickster so i think this SIM free off contract will not work, it will probably ask you to connect to iTunes to activate when inserted, i think its some kind of security feature in the newer iPhone firmware to prevent stolen iPhones from being activated, the user may think twice before activating a stolen iPhone when it ask him to connect to iTunes, remember you have to input personal info during the activation process...
Yes this error happens, i knew it was the update. i think it does happen when you send and receive text in a very short period of time, like in a matter of seconds.
What they need to do is hurry and release iChat on this bad boy.
There is an issue but its software issue. Try Typing Misreb on the keybord in a SMS conversation. It wont allow you to press the b.
No, Apple has brewed up their own little plugin to alow flash playback on the iPhone.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
