So much for Green Company.
Can someone tell me why an EDGE only device boasting Internet useage is tempting nowadays?
"Looks like there's an actual benefit to MacBook Air's soldered-in RAM after all, eh?"

Clearly not if you watched the entire video instead of just reporting on it.

At timestamp 5:06 they clearly state that they were able to successfully attack the Mac File Vault encryption software.

The attack is not limited to physically taking out the RAM.
Exactly, I am glad that someone brought up the fallacious nature of this report. I never trust reports where the methodologies used to perform the study are not disclosed. This is just crap marketing from a Stock Market firm designed to disinform people for the purposes of moving a stock price.

Apple just has not been the same since MacWorld, their stock has been diving and their does not seem to be an end to it.
"but it's nice to see Apple forking over some "should have been there in the first place" functionality accidentally to go along with all that stuff of the same ilk 1.1.1 took away from us."

It's nice to see validation of my perspective that Apple is continuously using their ability to sell to the mindless many for the purposes of increasing profitability by stringing along the mindless many with upgrade paths for just about every feature which has already become standard in just about every other convergence device.

Demand more people. (Apple fan-boys and others alike) There is a reason that European and Asian countries blow the US away in consumer technology...mass-media induced complacency coupled with cognitive dissonance.

Regarding MacBookOwners' comment:

"When did hackers start with the whining and entitlement issues, as though Apple is supposed to support them?"

I have to agree 100%. This would be a prime example of the cognitive dissonance in full effect. Instead of these people realizing that they made a huge mistake in buying a product which they clearly did not want (Why did they not want the iPhone? Because if they did want it, they would not be sitting around trying to CHANGE it from what it IS. A device that does NOT allow 3rd party apps and does NOT allow unlocking. Read a book, for craps sake!) they sit around bitching and moaning because their attempts at CHANGING the iPhone to something they want are not working. lol

This is the same mentallity that we have all seen with people CHOOSING to date people they do NOT like and spending an inordinate amount of time trying to CHANGE them. Then when they realize their attempts are not working, instead of just moving on to someone who is more to their liking, they start bitching and moaning about the other person NOT changing. lol You just gotta love cognitive dissonance, or not. ;P
They already do, it is called a WM Professional device. Check out the HTC Tytn II, or if you want restricted capacities like the iPhone, but sleek styling, check out the HTC Touch.
Where can you get a 16gb SD card????
I obviously missed mentioning the lack of Enterprise synching, a viable keyboard for messaging and...oh yea...almost forgot, inability to port over the cellular internet (Edge or otherwise) to your laptop for truly wireless anytime connectivity.

Ah yes, the joys of underwhelming technology. No proglems with HSDPA hear in Fort Lauderdale, FL Blackjacks and 8525s work like a charm.
I can not wait to see how people respond to the underwhelming technology that they will be inevitably faced with after owning the iPhone. Maybe after they ditch this $600 purchase they will be happier with the next $600 iPhone which actually has HSDPA in it in about 6 months to a year. You know as opposed to purchasing current HSDPA capable devices or holding out for the newer ones in 6 months.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
