If you just let it do it's thing it reboots twice on its own during the install. For all users who have yet to update - don't touch your computer during the process! Just let it do it's thing! :-)
Back in the day (on the Mac) when entire programs were smaller (in bytes) than the size of the icons for apps are today I wrote a little utility that did exactly this. It's so funny to see all these types of ideas from years past resurfacing in new ways. Back in the day I called them "Launch Boxes" - a play on words since they were like a "lunch box" - a collection of apps or documents - that would launch. It's alot easier these days for the average user to implement these types of useful utilities though! Good work!
It would be so nice if the developers would just merge the versions into a single UNIVERSAL version of Cocktail and just have it do the right thing dependent on what OS it is running under. This is not difficult to implement and it is the main reason I choose not to use this program.
Regular software updates add value. How many software updates does Motorola release for handsets? How easy are they to apply?

You don't have to be a fan "of the deal" as long as you're happy with what you pay for the phone - outright and monthly. If you feel you're getting a deal, then great. If not, then buy something else.

All of these "Control" apps are nice hacks but rarely are any of them practical. Bottom line - no one - NO ONE - that owns Pro Tools is going to have any need for this - they have REAL control surfaces.
The iPhone "will have" 3G someday too.
Is it just me or do all these "me too" unlocking schemes that "will be available in mere hours" sound like total crap? Oh yea, I have a scheme too and I will release it in...oh...let's say 3 and a half hours.
Their web site sounds either like 13 year olds are in charge, they have a bad command of English or they are shady. Or all three!
Now all Apple needs to do is lock down photo sync (so you can't) then force us to have a .Mac account @ $99/year and then charge us 25 cents each to send our pictures to the web gallery and they'll be just like Verizon! ;-)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
