Well if apple does this they are screwing themself over with itunes music and video purchaches. I buy music from itunes if they block this then I guess ill just have to start buying with amazon then.
Another great phone by sprint palm pro. Pre. Touch pro. The upcoming tour and the touch pro 2 sprint is steping it up in handset selection.
This has also been rumored for sprint and verizon and I wouldn't doubt sprint brings it out first since they almost always bring in the first models for palm then they go to the other cariers. Also I see this as a lower end version of webos don't think palm wants to get out a model that replaces the pre after the pre only has 4 going on 5 days of life it makes no sense at all
lol in what way is it better than the pre other than having lots of app support?? I won't put down the Iphone is a good phone on a shitty 3g network but the palm pre sure can accomplish more than the iphone keep in mind pre has 3 days of life while the iphone is on 2. Ohh i forgot it was the magnetic built in compass thats so revolutionary.

It sure is a good needed update on features but most of it is stuff that has been around phones for quite some time.
Wow lol nothing to get exicted about but competition is sure great for us the consumers now with the palm pre out I'm sure apple is working hard fo bring a better device for next year this is almost the same as the current one and still no flash how lame and no mms for att until the end of summe that's even more sad
Is not that bad and also engadget you forgot to add how the palm didn't advertise the phone like apple did when the first one came out.
Wow Nice phone hope Sprint gets this one
Just saw this phone at the store is really nice.
Typical problem from AT&T/Cingular.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
