Either Engadget hasn't reported about it or people haven't heard about it. Bell is transitioning to HSDPA, they have test towers up in all the major cities in Canada

It's up for me, yay! I can't wait
I haven't received this magazine since the summer now.. I was enjoying it too
When I was dating a nutjob of a girlfriend, I went over 25k texts because she NEEDED to be in communication at me at all hours, if I didn't text her within 2 minutes of replying a txt, a phone call was expected
RIP, thanks to Rogers, I have EDGE service in hicktown, Manitoba, but still limited, nonetheless.
It got stuck between menus (nothing a quick flick won't fix), it's quite neat but weird when it happens though
Sasktel has native coverage in Regina/Saskatoon, which is still more than the native coverage in Manitoba
The main reason behind "no analog" anymore is because Telus and SaskTel reached a deal on a roaming agreement in Saskatchewan. Sasktel is where all that orange is. Before they were roaming on the analog coverage. However it doesn't look like they're roaming on EV-DO.

MTS in Manitoba on the other hand has its head up its derriere, they won't allow Telus do the same kind of roaming that SaskTel is now allowing, and on the flipside, MTS customers are sometimes out of luck when roaming on Telus in Alberta/BC (ie data).

SaskTel and MTS are the only options for the rural folk in Sask/Manitoba since Rogers doesn't have many towers, and Telus doesn't provide local numbers (or didn't before). When I visit my parents farm, I can see an MTS tower right out the window and I live in an area with only 50 or so people, and I can't get a signal on Rogers if my life depended on it.
I was one of the 1.2% of iPhone users who went over 1GB, I had 3.4GB of combined usage for my first month, mainly because I did not have an internet connection. I was living out east and needed some sort of communication. I was able to use up that much data from just using Safari and a bit of usage in Tuner, maybe an hour a day or so. However my data is not even near that now that I do have internet again, plus I'm back in a 2G (not a 3G) town.

I didn't abuse it by tethering or anything, I used it from legal purposes that are supported by Apple in one way or another, plus I doubt my iBook couldn't handle tethering anyways
When I saw "MTS" in the headline, I thought it was talking about the Canadian CDMA carrier.. which didnt seem right.. http://www.mts.ca
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
