Woo! more swag!

I wouldn't mind browsing engadget with this.
This is spiffy, but when's the SDK announcement this month?
So when are we going to be allowed to leave our wifi-enabled gear on during flights? A bit of DS multi-player would be fun (and free) if you're on a flight with a friend.
No, Dave, we don't expect Vista for free, but Dell also doesn't offer it free to the new customers either. Until it's the only option available (IE, no XP) it's a cost upgrade.
The one real sticking point to me is that the new units get it for free. I'd bet there'd be a much smaller grumble from people if they were just making available the $20 software upgrade to everyone (old and new purchases). If the new units had to pay for it too, people would grumble about the price, but at least it'd feel like everyone was in the same boat, not just people who got them early (especially at christmas only to find out 3 weeks later about this).
Umm, alliance version I suppose.
I didn't know we could still enter these.
I'd really like to win this one.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
