This has existed in Sweden for about 10 years.
Poor Cingular is the only one that doesn't have a real person as a spokesperon. I'm happy with Catherine Zeta Jones as my spokesperson.

I thought the Alltel guy was B-list actor and environmentalist nut-job Ed Begley Jr.
#3 - Thanks for a completely worthless post. Get out.
Let's just hope they've worked up a better interface than the default on the 7100t. That was just plain awful. I ended up using the Vodafone theme, which looked great and was very well organized.

#1: If you don't like BlackBerries, don't buy one. Why get so worked up about something that has no impact on your life?

This looks like the love child of a Sony Ericsson P900 and BlackBerry 7100. I like it.
It would be beyond stupid for Apple to go through the effort of creating a phone that only works on EV-DO. They'd be missing out on about 1.5 billion user GSM market in over 100 countries for the sake of a few million in one country. Historically Apple doesn't do stupid things, so I'm going to assume this rumor is false.
#1 Thanks for a completely worthless comment that shamelessly generates traffic for an even more worthless website.
#3: Thanks. I'm glad you agree. Most people just call it stupid. I like haveing unique stuff that makes people go :o when they see it. Buying UMTS/GSM phones from Japan seems to do the trick. I'm sorry to hear that you need 850. My rule would indeed be hard to live by if I didn't live somewhere with an abundance of 1900. You could get a Samsung D600. They make a quadband version of it. VK Mobile also makes a bunch of quadband stuff.
I'm glad I didn't buy one of these back when I was considering it. It would now be in violation of my rule: no using phones that are sold in the US. What a shame. I'm glad I'll never have to worry about my V800 being sold here.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
