LOL @ M113 doors opening and closing in under 60 seconds. Must be the new up-servoed model, 'cause that shit be *slow*, yo.
Hey, haX0r,

I think you've mixed up your Flash technologies. SanDisk might have a 128GB SSD drive, but that's likely in a 2.5" HD formfactor. SanDisk *just* released a 16GB microSDHC, the format the used in the G1, and they've announced a 128GB version is in the works for release in 2011, but now that they've sold a 30% of their flash fab capacity back to Toshiba I'm betting that will slip. The iPhone will likely stay at or ahead of the microSDHC curve for another couple of years, if only because they can fit more flash chips onto the iPhone mobo.
Android reminds me a lot of the older (3.0-4.5) Palm OS revs. It's pretty minimal to start with, but the opportunity for OS enhancements from 3rd-party developers is awesome. Mind you, if I could get this OS onto Touch HD hardware but in the formfactor of my dear, departed Zodiac II I would probably sell a kidney to do so.
Compare the Lite to the Phat, and then compare the DSi to the Lite, and tell me they couldn't have put this out for $130, give the drop in hardware prices in the intervening years.

I love my DS Lite, but there's no way I'm buying a DSi unless it's $130 or less. What a waste of 2 years of development time.
@linuxamp: I didn't know there was a kanji for 'yoroshiku'. It's not quite the same as the kanji meaning good, is it?
I was able to tackle Phantom Hourglass, Front Mission, Super Robot Wars W, and Chou Soujuu Mecha MG (not an RPG, but super-text heavy) with just a couple years of Japanese classes under my belt. I wish more games used Zelda's in-game kanji/kana system - it lets you select any kanji you can't read and get the yomigana right there - but I can do without for the most part. It doesn't take too many repetitions to figure out 'pirates' or 'fairy'.
Protuberances. Protrude. Different words.
I'd love to try this out... if only I could find this "Toyko" place!
Happy birthday to you *and* me - want to send me and my wife to Europe? :)
Seriously, great job! Engadget is now my go-to site for everything gadget-related!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
