I think its the pictures. My TP2 screen, with the backlight all the way up, is actually TOO vibrant.

Like it or not (and luckily i like it), 16:9 is the future of pc monitors (as is 1080p). It just makes too much sense, especially with PC games increasingly becoming console ports...

All games on Comcast Sportsnet will be in HD, they mean. Obviously theres some games on other channels that may or may not be in HD.

I've been getting Fox, ABC, and NBC in HD for local news for a while now. NBC just doesn't want to make the upgrade, for whatever reason. They've lost my viewership.

True, but PS3 games are all on BD-25's (as far as I know anyway, except for the upcoming MGS4), and it's really only BD-50 production that is being constrained.

As a Philadelphia-area resident, CBS3 has already had the best HD news broadcast (followed by ABC, then Fox...NBC doesn't do their local news in HD for some reason). I guess this will just make it better, and make NBC finally start doing their local news in HD, I've stopping watching them because they don't.

Thank god they are going with Panasonic panels. Panasonic makes the 2nd best plasma's (after the Pioneer Kuros).

"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
