besides, I thought there was an issue with fitting 2 16GB chips in the phone because of the size? Unless they found a single 32 then wouldn't it be PHYSICALLY impossible to do?
I really hope they don't as I just got mine on Friday. I guess I still have a couple weeks to see if I need to return the one I have for the larger size
When I first saw the leaked pictures, I thought the Sprint version looked MUCH better. But now that I've seen some real-life pics I must admit the Verizon one is growing on me. I kinda like the silver body with black outlines and keys, its dare I say.. sexy even?
I agree, this is probably one of Palm's sexiest devices in awhile. If they can somehow make it thinner then we have a real contender here.
Verizon (and other CDMA providers) have the ability and technology to use sim cards int heir devices. They chose not to. If they want to start using sim cards in their new phones, it wouldn't be difficult in any way, especially now with their whole "open network" plan.
Actually no, the F700 has it, the u940 does not. The Croix Interface was pretty much dropped in favor of the Voyager-eque theme. What I've seen of people with pre-production models is that there is indeed a couple of different themes, like most of the newer Verizon offerings. a Croix type theme is one of the ones offered, but it is hardly the same interface that won the iF award.
No, its a "dumb" phone.. not a "smart" one. At this point the draft is just that.. a draft. So basically we cannot be fully sure what the device is going to have. WAP- maybe? who knows, but the screen is too big for me to think it'll have that and not the full HTML. Check howardforums or phonearena for more pictures
FINALLY

I've been following the u940 Verizon rumors for months over on HoFo. March/April is what we've been able to come up with (guess). Glad to see something on a computer screen to reaffirm my thoughts.

I didn't want to get the Vger since too many people already have it. So Its good to see the u940 possibly coming soon. Hopefully they have a Croix theme in addition to the Vger theme..
Is there already a carrier argument going just 14 hours into the new year? Wow.

Actually, I'm very happy with the HALFWAY DECENT lineup of phones that Verizon offers, for just about the same prices too.. if not cheaper

But, of course. everyone is going to have a certain alliance with their provider, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But I WILL say. I'm very happy with what Verizon provides
It's supposed to see a soft release on Nov 28, all channels on Dec 5. The people over on Hofo have ordered it through telesales, usually having to give the SKU. Some reps will sell, some will not.. it just depends on who you get
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
