check out the seller's ebay store. he's also selling diet pills. . . you do the math.
i lost service on at&t for about 20 minutes in marina del rey. my business partner lost service on sprint for about the same amount of time; however we were able to use the land line immediately. another reason to keep your land lines folks!
no one will spend any money on research and development because the very stock holders who scream for new products, scream louder for profits, and spending money on r&d diverts money from profits. it's the idiot cycle of modern business.
and ironic that it was posted using apple's quick time. . .
i'm most encouraged that apple and the iPhone addresses service and usage problems people experience with mobile phones. so maybe the first version of iPhone isn't perfect, but it looks to me like all the most important parts work, and work well. an interface that makes sense and doesn't require alot of sorting out to work. that's important to users. i'm also encouraged that the iPhone phenomenon will force other cell phone companies to really design phones that work for normal people. i think these key features are lost in all the hype.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
