Even without those 3 movies it's still a 5 item Star Trek week. The 4 TNG movies and the second season of TOS. Don't know if I'll double-dip though. Waiting for reviews of the movies' transfers and audio.

Bluetooth controller is not much of an issue now that Logitech has the PS3 Harmony adapter. Super fast and seamless. Any self-respecting geek has a Harmony (right?).

Also, I don't know why your receiver would need decoding. PS3 supports all the majors anyway and sends the audio LPCM.

Yeah, there's heat, but it doesn't crash. Just make sure it's above your PVR and receiver in the rack. For some people the fan noise is an issue but my Bell PVR's fan makes more noise...

Really? I still haven't seen a single speed test where a player outperforms the PS3 in load times. I've seen lots of players that come close but they're still priced above the PS3. The added bonus of being able to play games is like buying a snowblower and finding out that it is also a lawnmower!

Actually, I like the idea of having it protected inside. That means it's portable and you don't have to worry about your iPod falling out or getting sand on it when you move down the beach (or elsewhere).
