My Sprint Treo 700P eats it every time. Version 2 was better, it hung ye ole Treo once in a while, but V3 is useless. Notice the lack of the 700P on the compatibility list on the Opera website.
Check out the link below. Sprint charges $40 bucks additional a month to tether. I found this nifty software, now I'm rockin Sprint EVDO via my 700P on my lappy for an extra $0.00 a month. Yes you do have to pay for it once the trial expires, $34 once or $40 a month, you decide.

"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
