We need another Apple Store in Charlotte, I hate driving all the way to South Park just to oggle the new gear.
That deal sucked! You could only pick from a list of 12 movies, and most of them were garbage, plus it was a rebate deal, so you had to put the money up front, and hope and pray Toshiba sends you a rebate check.
Why didn't they just buy out ORB? They offer almost an identical service to this. I'd be interested to see how these two compare, and also, is this thing Vista only?
Can anybody recommend where to post suggestions for iphone/ipod-touch apps. I think somebody is gonna need to put together an offline browsing app as soon as people figure out there's not nearly as many free wifi spots as they thought there was when they bought the touch. Also, what about a security app that phones home if your device gets stolen. Any suggestions, comments?
Why can't these handset manufacturers put 3.5mm headphone jacks on these phones already. I hate those stupid adapters you have to use with all the Sony Ericsson phones to listen to music.
So does this mean you will be able to play the youtube player on your T.V. via the Touch's Wifi? So many questions... Oh yea, did they say when the Touch is going to be in Apple stores for demos?
So it has Wifi, but does it do streaming radio? Can I only buy music on the Wifi Itunes store, or can I get Podcasts too? It seems to me they are really putting you in a sandbox as far as getting content via Wifi goes. Why no wireless syncing already, 54mbps isn't a fast enough connection? Since this thing isn't on the AT&T network, does that mean they will open up an official SDK, since their is no chance of "Crashing AT&T's Network" ?
This looks a lot like that robot from Logan's Run. "Fish! Plankton! Protein from the Sea!"
This is exactly what XM needs to do. Set-up some kind of way, where you could listen to online stations through your XM radio. They already have the infrastructure, they would just need some kind of online interface to setup the stations. Then, after that gets going, they need to set-up a way to stream music from your home computer to your XM radio. Of course, this will probably never happen, but one can dream.
I'm looking forward to not paying $500 bucks for an iphone.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
