You do realize that RIM is not an "American company", right?? They are a Canadian company.
Question for the field...

I am 99% certain I will get this phone... unless when I hold it in my own hands there is something I just don't like then I'll go with the Bold (my company is buying it for me so I've got to go with a Blackberry... but I can choose whichever one I want).

I have AT&T right now and love them. I have had zero problems with their service. Though, admittedly, I'm only on EDGE right now wince I am using a Blackberry Pearl. So, I don't know how their 3G networks stacks up.

My question is this... is Verizon worth dumping AT&T for (cost is not an issue since my company is paying for it). Or, should I get an unlocked Vodaphone version and use it on AT&T? I guess I could get an unlocked Verizon version too since it has a GSM radio but I keep hearing that Verizon is the worst at locking down their phones (software and hardware).
Wow... October???!!! My decision was going to be easy if it came out in August or even Sept (like it was supposed to) but now that it is October, I might wait just a few weeks more and see what the Storm (aka Thunder) is like since that is supposed to come out in Oct too. My contract is up so I am free to go to whichever carrier I want.
So... no touchscreen Blackberry??? (aka 9100) ???....
Being a CrackBerry addict, I'm looking forward to something fresh. I bought Apple's stock a year ago because I believe in what they represent... the stock has done phenomenally for me in the last 12 months and I want to be a part of this new 'era' of communications. Sure, to a certain degree the only thing revolutionary about this device is that it merges technologies that already exist. But, only Apple can inspire people like they do. I have a lot of respect for companies that are forward thinkers like that. Oh yeah... and I'm just a techno geek so I love to play with the latest and greatest...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
