I've had an iPhone from day one on O2 and will switch when my contract is up. The major benefit from these phones comes when you have good data connections. Without it they're limited to home or office toys. Vodafone, at least in the areas I travel, have the best 3G coverage and speeds.
Just be glad you can get hold of a Kindle. Here in the UK we've still got no word on it due to 'international licensing and negotiations'.

And the biggest threat to ebook readers are competing standards. If the industry doesn't pull together and make it simple then people won't be interested. Apple will probably swoop in with a bigger tablet which focuses on displaying web versions of your favourite newspapers and stuff the ebook format.
Mooooooove to the moooooosic!
O2's site now says that 'Due to high demand we are now out of stock online. Please check back on 10th July for more information".
If they're aiming at the Blackberry market then they don't stand a chance. There is no way that an iPhone will become a business product of choice.

If Apple release this in the UK with just GPRS then it will be a huge mistake and their marketing guys all need firing. The phone market has moved on from GPRS and putting a product out there that doesn't support EDGE or 3G is a slap in the face to the buying publics intellect.
Sign the online petition for 3G/EDGE in the UK. Let Apple know that a GPRS iPhone is not acceptable!

"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
