dang! after all the iphone3g/Omnia/TouchPro/TouchHD/Storm/G1 craze, i forgot how nice these massive gig-media players can be! Youd be surprised how quickly i filled up the 4g microSD on my phone...i'll take 1, thankyouveddymuch...
ok, why is everyone bickering over the dang color scheme & rascism (really?) when we're allignoring the bigger issue here: why the heck
does Tmobile appear to be the only darn cell company on earth that is NOT carrying the TouchPro when it was the first carrier out the gate
with the MDA!?!? I (speaking as a tmo customer off contract) am easing my way out of the tmo door. customer service is great, but phone selection has gone down the tubes. Last check, they have the Wing (like engadget said,STILL $299 for a phone thats 2 gens old!?!), the Dash, the Shadow & now the G1.
I called loss retention & bitched about the lack of good phone options & threatned to leave, & all the guy would do is offer me a G1 for $179 (the off the shelf price!!!) i was pissed....now i have to decide which phone im willing to switch carriers for..the TouchPro, Omnia, or dare i say it..Iphone! *sigh* if only the TOUCH HD was coming here, i could have already given my first born & wouldnt have these problems..
I agree with limiting exec compensation when they are driving these companines to the ground!! (pardon the pun)
Just like with Wallstreet, they simply get paid & rewarded too much for making huge mistakes and patting themselves on the pack for a sub-par product.
I definately dont want anymore of my (future) money in the form of taxes going to these auto makers that where to stubborn to see/follow the trends against them as they continued to make ugly, high powered, gas guzzling machines with cheap, shoddy materials and then flood the market with this crap. Now that the consumer has finally spoken (along witht the credit market) they want help.
While i would sympathise with the workers losing their jobs & understand tht the some of these companies cutting back may hurt the economy in the short term, thats capitolism. Make a better product and the consumer will return as will eventually the econmomy.
wow, that sucks, hahaha.
I remember when i would kill for one of those things. My parents still may have one lying around the house somewhere, but i think most people use PMP's or cell phones to watch all their media on now anyway. As for emergency feeds...better off going to fry's and getting a hand crank powered weather radio.
still not sure how you would solve the whole "tailgaiting issue tho. I guess get a HDportableTV..? if they even sell those...yet...
I agree. This should be under the "Breaking News" section of Engadgets main page as it was the gallery was on the cycling "ticker"
right above for the LONGEST time!! and seeing the massive audience this phone has (or HAD) i dont understand why Engadget isnt making a bigger deal out of this !?!
regardless, lemme just say, THIS BLOWS. I was itching for the TouchPro since i've had the MDA do me well for the past what, 3 years!? and i saw the TouchPro as a nice upgrade, but then the TOUCH HD seemed like the TRUE worthy succesor. HTC really blew it for me. I singlehandedly convinced over 10 of my friends (literally) to switch to the MDA (or their carrier's counterparts) whn i got mine and was likely going to do the same with this. I was even willing to switch from tmobile's grade A carrier/customer service to a lesser Sprint or Verizon whn i found out wich carrier was getting it!!! I agree, we FLOOD HTC with Tweets for the next 2 months until we get a respectable response I dont buy the re-eningeering angle their throwing out there!! And im starting to side with the conspiracy theorists on the AT&T threats to not carry anymore for fear of iPhone cannabalisation..in short, HTC DROPPED THE BALL, & ENGADGET should be covering this MUCH MORE THOROUGHLY. this is BREAKING NEWS material here!!
GREAT!!!! now if they could just listen to those of us begging for NEW SMARTPHONES!!!!
(aside from the G1) like ANY NEW HTC DEVICE..After the Dash,MDA & the Wing, they just gave up.
No Touch, no Tilt, no anything. If they dont get the TouchPro or TouchHD, im jumping ship....
great custimer service is one thing, but if i dont even have a phone that i want to use,
*bleh* whats the point??
HAHAHA!!!!! I clicked on the comments section SOLEY because i wanted to see what everyone had to say about the models...lol...i knew it'd be good fora nice laugh or three...hehe
..yea the netbook is *meh* .After looking at the hi-res image (thanks CyPunk) Im wondering why the girls are looking at themselves in different outfits but the SAME positions on their Xnote mini & NOT talkng to ME on my webcam instead :(
I completely agree. Its not the fact that its some fancy technology to dis-able the kids from the process of doing htings themselves, its that the tech has the possibility to help them UNDERSTAND the material much easier. Imagine actually seeing animated videos of your history lesson or the kids reading aloud from their digital text(books) and having each succeeding word highlighted and/or split into the phonographic pronounciation so they can keep up (we all remember the kid in class who took FOR-E-VER to read that ONE paragraph!!). It does open up to many possibilites to help the learning process. Plus we all see how quickly kids adopt to new technologies. Now the spilled juice is another problem..haha but with that said IMHO this is FREAKIN AWESOME!! (in my best Carl from AquaTeen voice)
ha...clever place to put it...its hella crazy tht it took a night vision camera to find it too
(searchin for some snarky comment to say, but...bleh..i'll leave it to those of u with a full nights sleep under ur belt...)
umm..HELLO...TMOBILE....???? you guys still alive? I know you still recive my payments every month, just wanted to know
do you see what customers want? What we are looking for..?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
