Ben - can you try testing out some M2TS files on it? I have all my home movies recorded in AVCHD to M2TS files which is the native format of the Sony HD Camcorders. I can provide samples if you need them. I don't want to purchase it until I know it will work with my home movies on a shared network drive. I DM'd you on Twitter so you can get back to me there if you want to. Yes Roger the WD one needs a drive directly connected to it - major fail. @Chav3z - I wouldn't call it a "streamer" if it can "stream" anything. Maybe you should stay tuned in a little more :-)
I just bought Prince Caspian with digital copy. I think I will always choose with digital copy if available. It was only $3 or $4 more than without...
After the 2.2 update my iphone was locked and only available to make emergency calls. But all I did was shut it completely off and rebooted and I was fine.
You should probably revise this post to read "which has dubbed it the DTVPal DVR". There is already a product available from Dish called the "DTVPal" that doesn't have the DVR built in. So this should be differentiated by calling it the "DTVPal DVR".
Really Jay? Sounded fine to me - maybe you are having hardware problems?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
