Happy Black Friday!
Transformers! Robots in disguise!
Well hopefully my dream of owning a nokia n80/81 can come true here. In case a sob story counts, i was once ripped off by an ebay scammer (never again BTW) for an unlocked nokia N80. Never got a refund, and never again will i be duped on ebay! But here's hoping I win! Merry Christmas to all!
AHA ziggy i was right! Not one sign of an 8120 near a retail store..seems wifi is some sort of useless feature, and that RIM couldnt come up with a 3G platform to cover its proverbial butt in time to release either one of these iterations. Hope its free from glitches, happy reporting!
Well someone has my back, the 8120 Shouldnt've been released maybe? Who the hell wants wifi unless u can make calls or ATT could make money? Anywho, it appears i was a bit hasty in my commenting, but at least someone else can confirm that the 8110 in fact will be coming to our fine ATT stores, and again, who CARES about wifi..not me
The 8110 is being offered with insurance as of 3/16/08. Is that not up to date enough? I have never seen or heard of an 8120 being offered excpet here on engadget. Perhaps we will be offering both, GPS for the regular folk, and a WIFI redundancy to enterprise as with the 8820.
I hate to say you guys have got it all wrong, but you do. ATT is releasing the 8110, not the TMOBILE 8120. The phone will have GPS and not WIFI, because we all know ATT has almost 0 use for that particular feature which they cannot even make money with. GPS nets the new telenav rebranded ATT Navigation. This can be confirmed via insurance limitations set forth on ATT internal systems. There is no record of an 8120, but plenty of references to the 8110. Hats of to you guys again for making me actually post a comment. I reaffirm my commitment to offering you my prose and writing services with ACCURATE info : )
make me an offer i cant refuse
Everyone panics and has poor recollection of what they just read. Dont panic, AT&T is weeding out those guys who use a laptop card or tethered phone as a DL whore. Regular customers now get more choices and a 1Cent increase in plan for changing to these new codes. Unlimited messaging is still there, your PDA max and BBmax(including 1500txt/pics) is still there just in a different form. All they are doing is offerring more choices and even an all new 1500txt stand alone that hasnt been available for almost a year (used to be 1000txt). ENGADGET list good and hard, I LOVE YOU but you have to screen your articles a little more closely. And, if you cannot I would be more than happy to join your editing staff as an AT&T/Verizon/Sprint expert! You may reply to my email address for a resume.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
