It doesn't look like android will be entirely open. This phone should be able to run android apps if android is recompiled for arm4. Much of the initial work to get android onto other hardware was pioneered on this device.

There may be issues with US carriers picking up this device, but I could see it being popular in Europe. Plus you won't see feature & software restrictions like on so many other phones.
That's the biggest thing i dislike about America, too many lawyers and a sue happy populace. Back in my day only dorks wore bicycle helmets and if you tripped over something it was your own fault for being a klutz and not watching where you're going.
I see lot's of potential for this board. Imaging snowboarding, first person shooters where you stand on the board to stand up, skiing, fighting games where shifting weight changes stance, and so on...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
