Is this comparably equal to the app store for the iPhone (surely not... but we can always dream can't we)
SL was without a doubt one of the poorest quality releases since.... dare I say 10.0.0

That aside... I always tell people regardless of which OS they use to clean install any "major" revision upgrades.

From professional understanding and knowledge... upgrades are haphazardness at its best. Never the less... the experience on the Mac side is much better then that on the Windows side. Still no excuse for the issues that are abound though.
Honestly.. the first steps to productivity......

1) Don't put things on your desktop!
2) Don't install or keep things of interest on your computer (how many time are we distracted by organising our play lists)
3) Only keep those applications open... that you are actively using.
4) Set your browser to a blank page for startup... or you will get swallowed up in browsing news.. or what-have-ya
If that is a true cocoa version of outlook... something that conforms to the Apple UIG and does not try to trump the OS... then Kudos Microsoft.
Some phone service providers can turn it off. If you are in the States... AT&T will turn of all SMS for you.
I downloaded and have it running. VERY nice app... and being OSS makes it so much the better. Big Kudos to the dev!
For me... the idea of a sub 10" tablet device is optimal. The iPhone is too small for doing reading research... or well reading in general since my eyes seem to be going bad. As a constant traveller, even the 13" MacBook Pro is too big for my liking.

So... in essence... this supposed device is building up to be everything I have been screaming for... for the last 10 years.
Just bought one today.... and it seems rather broken when trying to use on my MBP. I get audio from mono sources (don't think there is A2DP). But Mic won't work at all. I select it... and no sound. Actually.. i get a some constant "interference" bars but no one on the other end can ever hear... won't record in apps (for testing)... nothing... sigh.... Anyone have any ideas? I want a solid VoIP/SIP headset :(
At 855+ comments... I am feeling a bit late to the game. But as a poor punter in the making... I cannot help be dream of being a bit lucky.
Wow... i am feeling old... we used Lifepak 5s and 10s when I was a medic.... and they are no longer :(
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
